Beech Farm is an award-winning, family-oriented complex of eight luxury holiday cottages on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Our properties blend the charm and character of historic farm buildings with the comforts and conveniences of modern life (high speed wi-fi, smart televisions, dishwashers, Nespresso coffee machines and high thread count Egyptian cotton linen).
Our guests enjoy exclusive access to our array of family-focused on site facilities - indoor heated swimming pool (with built-in spa), indoor playroom/games room kitted out with role-play/crafting area, toy/book library, table football and big screen, farm-themed playground with in-ground trampoline, sauna, table tennis and daily feeding sessions with our selection of animals.
Beech Farm is located in the centre of a picturesque village (with a pub just round the corner), just outside the market town of Pickering in North Yorkshire. Within easy reach are numerous charming towns and villages, beautiful open countryside with superb walking and cycling, fantastic food from Michelin-starred restaurants to the world's best fish and chips, historic country houses, some of the best beaches in the country, and abundant attractions to keep guests of all ages busy and entertained.

Something for every family
We have eight cottages at Beech Farm - ranging from five bedrooms down to one bedroom. All are furnished to the same discerning standard, blending traditional rustic character with modern conveniences and luxuries.
Families are our focus at Beech Farm and we supply 'proper' wooden cots, high chairs, stair gates, bed guards, baby baths, step stools etc free of charge.
03. our facilities
Keeping you entertained
Our on site facilities are for the sole use of our guests. Our pool building houses a 10m indoor heated pool (with spa) and sauna. For the children, there's a purpose built indoor playroom/games room (role play/crafting area, toy and book library, table football, and big screen for kids' movie nights during school holidays), a farm-themed playground with in-ground trampoline, table tennis, mini football pitch, and feeding sessions with our array of ever-popular and friendly animals.

Beech Farm is located in the centre of a quiet village (with pub), yet close to countless attractions. Whether you're after scenic countryside rambles or wide sandy beaches, bustling market towns or beautiful tranquil villages, country estates and gardens, or theme and water parks, steam railways or zip-wires through the forest, Beech Farm is blessed to have it all on its doorstep. jaycee494: "A perfect place for a relaxed family holiday. Beech Farm is a luxurious, safe, complex of converted farm buildings and there is so much for children to do that, as far as they were concerned, we could easily have stayed at the farm with no need to for day trips.
The grouping and layout of the cottages and the play areas for children is such that adults needn't worry about where the kids might be playing as you can easily hear or see them from anywhere on site and the children's facilities are far enough away from the entrance into the site from the road that there is little chance of them being enticed to explore outside the complex.
The swimming pool, which is well maintained and larger than we expected for a complex the size of Beech Farm, was a major attraction for our grandchildren and they spent time every day in the pool, and sometimes several times in a day.
Although we travelled in early April we were lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy days out to Helmsley, Dalby Forest and Filey and it also meant we were able to make use of the many portable barbecue sets available to guests and eat outdoors as a family every evening.
Graham and Kirsty really do seem to have thought about everything that might be required by the target groups of visitors the complex is clearly designed to attract which is either family groups, like ours, or individual families with young children.
The individual accommodations were all very comfortably furnished and well provided with all the necessary utensils in the kitchen. There were even egg cups which is something I rarely find in self-catering holiday accommodation these days!
If you are looking for a place to spend a holiday together with your extended family or just looking for a place to have a relaxing family holiday with your own kids I really can't recommend Beech Farm highly enough.

Alice b "Perfect family staycation. We had a wonderful time staying at Beech Farm cottages. Such a stunning location. The cottage was perfect with everything we needed , which was amazing ! Everyone was wonderful and so very kind.
Even with the snow and ice we all enjoyed feeding the sheep and goats and holding the guinea pigs and rabbits. The snow just made the place even more magical.We loved using the heated indoor pool and spent alot of time in the play room too. Genuinely cannot wait to come back , would recommend to anyone !"

Even though the farm was fully booked, the swimming pool and play areas never felt overcrowded, which made the stay so relaxing. It was also a lovely way to meet other families staying there.
The hosts were fantastic – friendly, welcoming, and always on hand to suggest trips out. Beech Farm is such a special place, and we’re already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended for families of all ages!"
